CIS 475 - Introduction to Cryptography 3 Credit(s)
This course covers ideas and principles behind understanding and using cryptography. Topics include mathematical tools (elementary number theory, algebra, and probability theory), stream ciphers, block ciphers, public-key encryption, message authentication codes, digital signatures and hash functions. Programming cryptographic protocols is emphasized.
Prerequisite(s): CIS 205 with a 2.0 and CIS 300 with a 2.0.
