This course surveys theories of language and literacy development and individual differences across ages, including challenges confronted in the acquisition of language and literacy competencies. Students will explore the developmental processes that occur across the ages when learning to listen, speak, read, and write inside and outside school in relation to motivational and sociocultural factors.
