PHTH 600 - Theory and Health Communication

This course provides an overview and application of major frameworks, health behavior and communication theories used in the public health practice. Emphasis will be on understanding how theories explain individual behavior and help to guide the planning, delivery and evaluation of effective public health initiatives. Students will learn effective, culturally appropriate communication strategies used to enhance public health outcomes.
