MUCE 651 - Contemporary Issues in Mus Ed

This course examines current and emerging issues and trends in music education. Topics explored will center current disciplinary discourse, national trends, current events in education, and be dependent on student interests. Emphasis will be placed on developing the ability to identify, research, and analyze critical topics impacting music education and classroom teaching and learning. The culminating project for this course will be a Capstone Proposal Outline that will guide the student in designing their Capstone Project in MUCE 691 the following semester.
