POLS 340 - International Environmental Policy 4 Credit(s)
Gen Ed: SA. Examines the emergence of global environmental politics with a focus on three areas: (1) historical analysis of the “road from Stockholm to Rio” and the connected concept of sustainability, (2) international environmental regimes and diplomacy, and (3) the role developing countries do and might play in global environmental governance. It begins by examining the scope of environmental agreements and the language of international environmental cooperation. The focus then shifts to the global level by analyzing the actors in the international arena and the differing approaches to world politics. Occasionally.
