Students in this course will have the opportunity to hone the theatrical skills associated with opera performance, including stagecraft, characterization, communication and language skills, stylistic integrity, and body awareness. The course will cover topics such as stage deportment, acting and improvisation techniques, character and scene analysis, and stage combat. The course may also include performances of opera scenes. As warranted.
