ENVR 310 - Adirondack Environmental History

This study of the environmental history of the Adirondack region will give particular focus to the interrelated natural and cultural history of today’s Adirondack Park. Current land use conflicts will be regarded as the legacy of a human history of territorial contest and ambivalent attitudes toward nature, embracing the full range of conservation issues in other American protected areas and many developing countries as well.
