DANC 117 - Tap Dance

This course is based on technique, musical concepts, and composition of rhythm tap which is jazz music based. It provides an immersion into swing and bebop jazz musicality, as well as a foundation for 21st century tap exploration. This is an open-level technique class, which gives students the opportunity relative to their individual abilities to learn, understand, practice, and develop technical skills, tap dance styles, traditional movement terms, neuromuscular coordination, and kinesthetic sense.
