HIST 311 - Indians and Iberians 3 Credit(s)
A history of Latin America focused on the exchange and transformation of native American and Spanish cultures to form the Hispanic American world. Areas of emphasis will include pre-conquest Spain, pre-Columbian Indian Civilizations, the Spanish conquest, the establishment of a new, cross-cultural society, and the break between Spanish American and Spain up through the 19th century. A minimum of Sophomore standing required.
