Conservation biology is a multidisciplinary science with a focus on preserving the diversity of species and ecosystems. This course uses the Adirondacks as a case study to explore contemporary issues of climate damage, habitat loss, invasive species, pollution, population, and over-population. Conservation efforts in the Adirondacks provide a local and in depth understanding of the global issues and strategies to protect biological diversity on Earth. For non-majors.
