MUCC 350 - Vocal Techniques I 1 Credit(s)
This course examines the anatomical and physiological components of healthy vocal production. The students will identify, analyze and discuss the basic mechanics of the singing voice, as it pertains to healthy vocal techniques, vocalizes, body & breathing awareness, tone production and word formation. The students will discuss, experience and perform appropriate solo & choral repertoire with musical maturity, clear diction, style, and artistic communication. As this course is designed for future music educators, the students will also identify and discuss methods for teaching all learned concepts in both applied voice and choral settings.
