GRED 571 - Science Education Instruction in Secondary School 3 Credit(s)
This course begins with an introduction to the national science education teaching and assessment standards for junior high and high school. Topics include cooperative learning in the science classroom, student-centered learning environments, project-based teaching, and assessment of science knowledge and skills. Students will apply their knowledge to strategies of instruction as they teach the science unit that they developed in GRED 672 . This course is designed to address and explore topics of adolescences in the middle and secondary science classrooms. MST Adolescence science students only.
Prerequisite(s): GRED 672 .
