GRED 571 - Science Education Instruction in Secondary School

This course begins with an introduction to the national science education teaching and assessment standards for junior high and high school. Topics include cooperative learning in the science classroom, student-centered learning environments, project-based teaching, and assessment of science knowledge and skills. Students will apply their knowledge to strategies of instruction as they teach the science unit that they developed in GRED 672. This course is designed to address and explore topics of adolescences in the middle and secondary science classrooms. MST Adolescence science students only.
