This course is designed to help graduate students understand the rationale and development of emerging learning technologies in the United States during the last two centuries. The implications for teaching and learning from various educational philosophies and theories will be analyzed and investigated as they relate to current practices in learning design.

Prerequisite(s): Three other IT courses.
