ARMA 300 - Marketing and Public Relations in the Arts

Marketing Theory and Public Relations are essential to modern arts management. This course examines the history of both and their role in consumer relations. Market research and the aspects of developing strategies will be studied during the first half of the semester. The second half of the course will explore multiple areas of Public Relations communication including: research, development and writing as well as distribution. The coursework will include lecture, discussion, videos, class exercises and writings, observation, and group projects.
