ENVR 371 - Globalization and the Environment

This course analyzes attempts to conceptualize environmental globalization from a variety of disciplines, examines the elements of the global economy that most effect our one planet, and assesses some of the complex consequences of the globalization of environmental issues across a range of challenges including the ecological commons, gender, and indigenous rights. Students in this course will attain an in-depth knowledge of key historical and contemporary debates in global environmental studies. Cross listed with SOCI 371. Sophomore standing or higher required. Not recommended for the first year.
