ARTE 301 - Art Education Child and Adolescent 3 Credit(s)
This course is an introduction to the theories of art education and provides students with the basic knowledge, skills and strategies for teaching art. Students will be introduced to current issues in art education including multiculturalism, visual culture, technology, museum collaboration, and arts for special needs. The course will cover the national visual arts standards, a child’s artistic development and learning styles. Students will use this information to create art lessons for elementary and secondary students.
