Conflict is inevitable in our personal and professional lives. This course will probe conflict situations and resolutions through communication and negotiation strategies. Conflict will be explored through the lens of intercultural, interpersonal, and organizational context. This course will emphasize use of power, the problem of bullying, and the ease in which situations can escalate through inappropriate communication choices. Conflict communication and decision-making strategies will be explored in the context of crisis events that emerge rapidly and without warning. Counts towards Business & Professional Studies for Communications major.
