CHEM 461 - Nanomedicine

Nanomedicine course is a broad survey of the field, combining contributions from chemistry, biochemistry, biology, medicine and material science. The course includes lectures describing synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, functionalization and interactions of nanomaterials with biological cells, controlling nanoparticle biocompatibility as well as nanomedicine and controlled drug delivery systems using synthetic therapeutic and diagnostic nanocarriers that may be used for the treatment of different diseases with emphasis on antibacterial , antiviral and anticancer activity.
