BIOL 408 - Wetland Ecology

This course is designed to introduce students to the major concepts of wetland science including the structure and function of wetland ecosystems, principles of wetland ecology, wetland hydrology, soils and vegetation, wetland ecosystem services and other values, and the management and protection of wetlands around the world. This class is appropriate for students planning careers in natural resource management in industry, government, academia, environmental consulting, and non-profit organizations. There will be three required weekend all-day field trips for this course.
