MUCP 106 - Intro to Bassoon Reed Making

This course will introduce students to the reed-making process. This course will cover the fundamental properties and parameters of a well-functioning reed. Students will learn how to construct a reed blank from commercially prepared cane, as well as how to clip, scrape, and adjust a reed blank to create a finished, well-functioning reed.
