MUCE 420 - Jazz Techniques

Survey of related critical theory and pedagogical sources for the prospective teacher of jazz. Students will learn about how the jazz community’s educational and social system(s) can be replicated through in-class instruction. Ensemble rehearsal techniques, history, literature, and educational publications are discussed.

Prerequisite(s): MUCT 105 with a 2.0 or higher AND MUCT 106 with a 2.0 or higher.
