Environmental Science Minor

The Environmental Science Minor draws upon coursework from the Biology, Environmental Studies, and Earth and Environmental Science Departments to give students an understanding of the complex biological, chemical, human, and physical aspects of the natural world.  Emphasis is placed on lab-based science courses that focus on life, soil, the solid earth, and water and human interactions with these systems.  

Program Requirements


Biology Majors: 21-22 Credits


 

Environmental Studies Majors: 23-24 Credits


Geology Majors: 22-23 Credits


All Other Majors: 22-23 Credits


Notes:


  • Some of the courses have cognate requirements, so the student should check the individual course listing under its department for these prerequisites.
  • Students graduating with an Environmental Science minor must complete the minor requirements with at least a 2.0/S grade in each course.

  • Closed to B.S. in Environmental Science Majors.

  • If a course has a lab, both the lecture and lab must be taken and passed to fulfill minor requirements.
