Native American Studies Minor

Drawing from multiple departments across campus, SUNY Potsdam’s minor in Native American Studies introduces students to the history, current lives,and cultural traditions of Indigenous people across the US and Canada.

As part of the Interdisciplinary Studies department, Native American Studies offers students the opportunity to pursue their studies in ways that productively draw from the expertise and critical practices of multiple departments. Students will also develop skills in researching and writing that benefits their academic development.

Program Requirements


Required Courses: 6 Credits


Electives: 12-15 Credits
