SUNY Potsdam’s graduate program in management prepares students to be leaders in a broad range of careers and industries. Most importantly, this program is human centric, with a focus on using innovative technologies and processes used to empower the people in an organization. The program challenges students to learn about themselves and understand others, so they can motivate and manage teams effectively. Students share a common set of courses centered around core management and organizational principles, and then select a track that best fits with their professional goals. Throughout their program students will put their knowledge into practice by tackling pressing issues for real-world clients, engaging in high-impact internship experiences, and bringing their knowledge together into a personalized culminating project.
Program Student Learning Outcomes:
Management M.S. students will be able to:
• collect data and create visually appealing charts and graphs to present their findings to their client.
• evaluate organizational management challenges and propose solutions that address Data and Financial Management.
• demonstrate their competence to communicate strategies for different audiences and sectors through the creation of a policy that reflects ethical and cultural considerations.
• demonstrate that they can apply relevant leadership development principles to collaborate and perform effectively on interprofessional teams.
Organizational Leadership Track:
Establish and Solidify your standing as a confident leader of both today and tomorrow with coursework in team building, organizational communications, project management, conflict resolution, change processes, entrepreneurship & innovation, and social media strategies.
