To provide a foundation and range of academic core courses and elective experiences in the field of education, open to all SUNY Potsdam undergraduate students. The undergraduate Education Studies Minor will provide opportunity for students to explore interests in educational functions involving children and adolescents, such as museum and galleries, parenting, child and youth organizations (ex., Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs, YWCAs, churches, synagogues, mosques, Scouting, 4-H), civic governmental child and youth programs, and public or private school board members. It is also appropriate for parents, present or future.
