LITR 512 - Advanced Topics Short Story 3 Credit(s)
Examines the short story as a specific modern genre, beginning with examination of the form’s emergence in the early nineteenth century and concluding with readings of contemporary texts. Integrates close analysis of primary texts, secondary criticism, and critical theory. Authors and focus will vary from semester to semester.
Prerequisite(s): LITR 200 or LITR 201 , and LITR 300 ; or Graduate standing.
